About Me

Yaffa Fredrick is a writer and editor in New York City. She specializes in long form reporting, with an emphasis on world news and social activism stories. Since beginning her professional career, Yaffa has developed custom broadcast and digital content for PBS, MTV,  African Network of Centers for Investigative Reporting, World Policy Journal, and most recently, CNN.

When Yaffa is not sniffing around for a story, she can be found meandering in and out of mom-and-pop coffee shops or scouring local bookstores for out-of-print classics. She has also been known to occasionally blog about the absurdity of being a twenty-something in New York.

Yaffa is a graduate of Wellesley College and the University of Oxford, St. Peter’s, where she studied political science and film. She is a member of the Overseas Press Club, an associate member of the Newswomen’s Club of New York, and a Global Shaper at the World Economic Forum.
